Hello, I thought I'd share my model and display. Great price on ebay , I preferred this over the K&C hetzer which I found camo too orange for my taste. Perhaps later I can add a soldier on the side.

Nice little dio and yeah, the TG Hetzer is a nice piece. I have this one also but my only criticism of this vehicle is the turret mounted machine gun. It's undersized and definitely not 1:30 scale. The machine gun mounted on the K&C Hetzer is more accurate to scale and proportioned to the vehicle.

Maybe i could be of help on the undersized MG on the Hetzer. I also have this model as i prefer it to the KC version, but as you stated the MG is way too small.....But Preiser make a 1/24th German weapon set Art number 56290 in which there are lots of usefull items to use with 1/30 figures. in the set there is an MG 34 and an MG 42. It is not a difficult job to remove the TG MG and replace it with one from the Preiser set!!.
The set is often for sale on Ebay......Hope this is of help.

Does the 1/24th set have 1/30 pieces or is bigger better?

Thanks Steve, I checked out the Preiser site and I see the weapons set you are referring to. The weapons are pretty detailed and it would be interesting to see how they match up to 1:30 scale.

Hi Tom As i said it"s a nice little set from Preiser, I have measured up the weapons with those from KC figures and the MG34/42 are more or less the same size, the K98"s and Stg"s are maybe 1 or 2 mills longer but if you use them with discretion then it"s not a problem. I aready have the MG fitted to my TG Hetzer and it looks much beter, and the other stuff i am planning to use with the recent KC Dead Germans set....The Panzerfaust/Panzerschrek..grenades and stuff can be used in any situation to fill up a dio....Have fun...!!

Thanks Steve, you sold me! I found a set on ebay so I grabbed it. It's coming from Germany so I'm guessing a couple of weeks before I get it. I have 2 TG Hetzers (summer and winter versions) so it will be a dilemma on which Hetzer to mount the MG42. I'll probably have to toss a coin on that one! {sm2} The other weapons I can use in many scenarios and dio's and maybe mount the MG34 on one of my TCS Hanomag halftracks.

Thanks for the tip Steve and Murphy's law dictates you'll buy another set and then the missing bit will turn up!

Nice group, I had the CS hetzer with the winter camo and sort of regret selling it. It had a nice winter camo with a different pattern , but I found the tracks on the Thomas Gun so much better. The tracks look very three dimensional with the TG hetzer and the white winter paint is very nice.

The TG Hetzer is the best polystone model to date! The camouflage version has very accurate colors. The scale is a true 1/30 scale. The MG 34 is unfortunatly 1/35 scale. I wish the commanders hatch was open as this excellent model deserves a commander figure.

the camo version was so nice, the coloring perfect that i sold my kc version and bought a second tg hetzer and had money left over. Great job by Thomas Gunn

Hello, can anyone suggest a soldier that would lie on the back of the Hetzer? I have seen a russian soldier on the back of a hezter but I would like to add a german soldier. If anyone can suggest a model number or photo of a soldier that would fit on the slope of the hetzer please let me know. thanks Rob

The TG Raiders set is avilable on Ebay. Great photos Wayne!

A real shame that TG did not make hatches that open and close on their armor; the Hetzer and Puma especially.

It's a small powerhouse of a tank and these 2 figures work well with it. Robin.
