SS067: An SS infanteer with ammunition bandolier and ammunition case stands on parade, works as a great accompaniment to the previous SS parade figures we released last month. Comes in a 4 man box set and is priced at $165/£154 and limited to 100 pieces worldwide. Works out at $41.25 or £38.50 per figure which represents great value.
As a footnote, all bar 3 x Club030 and 3 x SS062 remain in stock from the previous release of 7 x German officers. We have therefore commissioned 4 x new German officers and 6 x fighting SS figures to bolster this range and these should be available soon.

World War 2

The Super Snipe was introduced by Humber in October 1938, it was derived by combining the four litre engine from the Humber Pullman with the chassis of the Humber Snipe. The enhanced power made the Super Snipe a fast car for its day, capable of reaching 79 MPH. The design is attributed to American engineer Delmar Roos, something of a engineering genius who worked for Studebaker at one time.
The Super Snipe was marketed to upper-middle-class managers, professional people and government officials. It was relatively low-priced for its large size and performance, and was similar to American cars in appearance, concept and in providing value for money.
Within a year of introduction, WW II broke out in Europe, however the car continued in production as a military staff car. The Car as a 4-seater 4x2, while the same chassis was used for the Humber armoured reconnaissance car. The Humber was generally used by higher ranking officers and as such we have decorated ours in the colours and markings of one of Britains most famous Field Marshalls Bernard Montgomery. However it will fit well in any diorama be it Normandy, the middle east and the far east.

The A and C versions are in a middle east/Italian front colour scheme and the B and D versions in a NW Europe/far east olive drab colour scheme. Monty nicknamed the Desert vehicle 'Old Faithful' and once he left for Europe it was used by various other British officers, it now stands in the Imperial War Museum where it has just undergone a major renovation.

German Guards Grenadiers

GW089: The 1st (Emperor Alexander) Guards Grenadiers were an elite infantry regiment of the Guards Corps within the Prussian army and a Guards Grenadier regiment of the Imperial German army.
The regiments tradition dates back to 1626 when the regiment was established during the 30 years war as a permanent mercenary unit. The 1st Grenadier regiment was formed towards the end of the Napoleonic wars in 1814 by Frederick William 111 of Prussia and named in honour of Alexander 1 who was its first Colonel in Chief.
The regiment later saw action in the Franco-Prussian war and also during WW1.

Thomas Gunn are proud to introduce this new range of figures resplendent in their parade uniforms, with officers, drummers and flag bearers to accompany these in the near future, much like we have done with the Pavlowski grenadiers. As the uniforms for this regiment date for the period 1900-1914 we have included them in the GW series for file reference.

Our first figure in this series comprises a grenadier presenting arms, the A version on a free form base and the B version on a grey rectangular base. Comes in a 4 man presentation box and is priced at $165/ £154 inc VAT. This saves you $15/£12 compared to the price of buying the figures individually.
Also available as a single CLUB figure, for more details please keep reading on!

Napoleonics

Following on from our best selling Pavlowski Grenadiers we have a new batch just in, these include more parade additions and our first fighting figures for this series. As you can see from the clay sculpts included with our photos we have a new officer, drummers and a flag bearer on the horizon, all due later this year.

NAP046B; A revised version of NAAP046 'stood to attention Grenadier' but this time in the new uniform of 1812, with a new face sporting a different moustache, new style trousers and revised backpack arrangement. These will sit well with the A version released earlier and give an interesting contrast to your parade, as with all armies new equipment and uniforms were and still are gradually introduced as stocks become available.
NAP046B comes in a 4 man box set, also available as a single figure set in the Club series.
The $ Price for the 4 man set remains unchanged from the previous A version at $180/£157.50 inc VAT. This works out at $16/£12.50 discount were you to buy the figures individually. UK price has increased but this is down to the weak £ which despite rumours is also beyond our control. Regardless we are still very competitive in the UK market compared to some others, no names no pack drill as they say!

Dear all welcome to our January figure newsletter featuring some exciting new releases. For the last 3 years we have been concentrating on Romans and Spartans at the expense of our other ranges, time to rectify that with some more 19th & 20th century releases this month with plenty more to follow later in the year from our other ranges including 5 new Zulu War figures.
The factory that makes our Ancients has notified us of some production issues that we have no control over, therefore no Ancients this month but we hope to see some more in February or March including mounted Celts and 100 yrs war Knights.

Great set of releases, nothing for me, but I know a lot of Treefroggers will be happy, especially with the nap Russians, plus my bank account will be happy...........

I like the desert Super Snipe staff car, might have to grab that!

Tom

Tom,

this is great news for Napoleonic collectors, getting a range of Russian figures from the 1812 era, both on parade and fighting poses.

The flag bearer looks good when lined up with his platoon, and I'd love to see a firing line of grenadiers before yous ell them all :) :)

Looking forward to seeing the release of the fighting poses, especially the drummer, so looks like a great year to come ….

Well done,
John

Drab Olive for me. She certainly was on 'on the buses'. you probably have to be English and at least 50 to get it!

She was a stripper in real life. Hard to imagine given what Arthur had to put up with.^&grin, Robin.

Yep Olive for me to hope some more sets in future to go with it.
A stripper mate lol

Nice figure - thank you for coming back to WW1 theme - however I will wait for the version with gas mask.

Can we hope other French "Hairies", but now original molds and not FFL covers?
