Hi Guys

“Kung Hei Fat Choy!” or “Happy Chinese New Year in this year of the Dog”. Whilst we’ve been celebrating out here in Hong Kong (and anywhere else 2 or more Chinese are gathered in the world), you’ve been busy “posting” away.

Anyway here’s a few musings and revelations…

Last night I had a dream… and in that dream the secret of eternal happiness (at least for toy soldier collectors) was revealed to me…

In future I would agree with whatever idea was put forward to me… no matter how strange… how difficult… how expensive… or how anything!

For collectors who want less static poses and more action… no problem – more action! For those who prefer more “behind the lines” scenes… also no problem – less action more doing normal, everyday chores… washing… eating… sleeping and so on. You got it!

As for fighting vehicles again no request turned down… I’ll put it on our list right away – the “Scheissenhausser” Mk.V mobile ablutions wagon… the “Smerdley Peasmold” 23cwt truck and trailer… you want it… you got it!

Strange and unusual soldiers…? We’re already hard at work on the Abyssinian Mounted Rifles and the Madras Submarine Highlanders as we speak.

Also for those collectors who complain that we release too many new items too often… we’re going to cut down. At the same time for those who say we’re not producing enough (especially of their particular favourites)… we’re going to increase production and speed up!

We’re going to promise you the earth… the moon… and the stars… and then some. You’ve going to love us and we’ve going to be soooo popular….

At this point I woke up… blinked twice and looked around… The sweat was pouring off me… my pajamas were drenched … my wife complained I had been tossing and turning all night long and mumbling “all right… I’ll do it… no problem!”

I swung out of bed walked to the toilet and splashed some cold water on my face. I looked in the mirror (not a pretty sight at the best of times). “It was only a nightmare”, I mumbled to myself, “just a bad dream…”

But oh what a dream.

Best wishes to one and all and…Happy Collecting!

Andy C.

So when can I expect a set of Madras Submarine Highlanders washing their smalls while charging with fixed bayonets?

No dream my friend. It's reality. A few years ago, our company was involved with cloning. Sounds like with all your extra work, satisfying your dreams, you'll need to clone yourself multiple times.

Andy,

Sorry about your nightmare, personally i think we should always act on our dreams. On a completely different subject i don't suppose you've had that dream in which a certain loyal, dedicated, regular purchaser of your excellant products, who lives in the uk and is called Rob wins one of those fifteen min trolley dashes around your headquarters in which anything he piles in the trolley he gets for free have you.?

Thought not!!!!

Andy

Your point is.................... get on with it that is no dream!!!!!;)

You just need to get up a bit earlier and go to bed later. oh yeah i am still working on that 30hr day we spoke about!!!!!

Tony

Why Andy,
You seem stressed, distressed, or some what perplexed.:(

Could it be that members of this forum have become too demanding? Not I. I would not dream of asking for more stuff.

But, while we are on the subject, how's about the Royal Swiss Kitchen Dishwasher Brigade in full Dress, all 2,567 variations?:p Michael

In truth, I honestly do not believe that you will ever be able to produce the vast number of different sets, buildings, figures, or anything associated with toy soldiers. That universe is so large. But, I do thank you for the diversity you have provided to me in the WWII and Napoleonic figures. I look forward to the suprise associated with new release anticipation. Keep it up and BZ, Bravo Zulu.

Andy - I am not sure if I was in your nightmare or you were in mine but they are eerily similar. On a more technical note I think the Madras Submarine Highlanders served as light infantry in trews when serving on submarines but on shore duty I think they did wear the kilt - can you confirm this? Would hate to get it wrong here at Britains - still can't believe we picked the same unit to do! Wouldn't you know it!

Good email, good laugh - stay out of trouble during CNY and Kung Hei Fat Choy.

Richard

Until the website is repaired, anything new will exist only in Andy's dreams.

I hope the cold water you splashed on your face was from the sink and not the toilet or is this one of those English versus American English things. In any case, you are right, this is a nightmare. Just continue doing what you think is best, they will all still come along.

Hoots mon, they raise em tough in Scotland, toss all night (a caber I guess), then its straight to the toilet bowl for a quick wash in the morning :)

FEAR NOT ANDY WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE K&C, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, ITS ALL GOOD.........:)
