Nothing out of the ordinary about these three soldiers, other than they were my first three painted metal soldiers I purchased at the Annandale, Virginia - Heart of the South toy soldier show in September 2021. Purchased from the Treefrog table. Until then, I had only collected plastic soldiers and action figures (Star Wars, GI Joe, Marvel).

I think it was Col Kilgore that caught my attention.

Yeh we helped Is anytime they meeded a friend…. We helped each other. Trump has no respect for history, loves himself too much to care about anything else

Those were the days when an Australian soldier was welcome, not so much it seems anymore. Good to see them together even if they are only toy soldiers. Robin.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I am one American who will always remember that our Australian cousins are just about the only people who have always had our backs. All Australians, especially those that served, will always be welcome in my home. Not every American agrees with our government's policies.

These words mean a lot to me. Helps restore my faith in the history of our two nations, to know not everyone has abandoned our friendship. Cheers Louis. Robin.

Britains' #8898 Field Gun Landing Party (1997) was our first purchase for our current TS/MF insanity.
Love it. Got the tan sailors to go with it 3 days later.

Robin,

I just want you to know that I get up at 5:00 a.m. New York time on ANZAC day to light a candle and put it at the bottom of my driveway. I love and respect Australia and New Zealand.

When I was stationed in Korea from 1997-1999, I traveled down to Australia to visit a friend. I purchased a book about the Australian military's experience in the Korean War.

It was called:

The Last Call of the Bugle: The Long Road to Kapyong

Author: Jack Gallaway

As a veteran, I appreciate the comradeship soldiers have shared, regardless of country or politics.
