Tickets...2011 Superbowl XLV... (1 Viewer)

If that happens George, it would have been that idiot Doug Brien kicking the ball :(

When you think of the NFL, you conjure up guys whose names end with a "ski", big brawny guys, who played in all types of weather. You think of those old Eagle teams in the 60s who used to put serious hits on people. The weather was cold and everybody shivered. Remember the Ice Bowl or the 85 Bears. They played the Giants in subartic temperatures and then took care of the LA Rams in more of the same. That's what it's all about. No quarter given, no quarter asked. Where the cold is warmer than the hits that they used to give out to each other. That's the NFL, no playing in some indoor stadium, but braving the elements. The Purple People Eaters using the elements to administer punishment.
When I think REAL football players, I think Chuck Bednarik; I think of Unitas staying in a game, split lip bleeding all over and packing it with mud to stop the bleeding; and the Ice Bowl even though the wrong team won. Loved football in the 60's. Football should not be played indoors. If the powers that be want a real SB, play out side and take the chance of bad weather, or just play in warm climes; no domes. -- Al

That's who I was thinking of, Bednarik. Man, that was a mean guy. I think he put Gifford in the hospital.

Football is just big business now, like any other business, lot of marketing, etc. The real fans get left out.
