Tiger repaint (1 Viewer)

As usual pretty darn good :).........Alex have you thought about doing a step by step process so we of the great unwashed can see just how this transformation takes place?

Jeff

Alex! Spectacular. Let`s crank it up,You drive, and I`ll get in the Tank Commander`s hatch. Good seeing You at Schaumburg.

Wow! now thats what I'm talking about. We need a winter tiger like that to come out. If I don't see one soon I just might need to bribe you with some money to make my tiger look like that. Great job!!!!

looks amazing... How did you do this and how long did it take?

Its hard to say how I do it because I take different approaches to different tanks so no real standard process. It takes several weeks because of my other job, being in the artistic mood, other repaints and some researching.

brilliant:cool::cool::cool:Did you take any pics with just the grey base on...think it would look awesome in grey as well:cool:

I almost did because it looked cool but it was a very dark grey.

Thanks everybody for your comments!

Why doesn't K/C vary the paint schemes on some of their tanks??? They should hire Alex as a design consultant.......He has it down....way to go Alex....you are the man.....Thanks for the photos....

Vezzolf has a really good idea. If KC would vary their paint schemes, or even the company numbers, collectors could buy multiples and form their own units. The new Tiger II sounds like a good place to start that practice. -- lancer

great work alex i wish i had a little of your talent, by the way alex how goes it after the hurricane?? is everything back to normal??...sammy

Everything is back to normal. There might a house or two with a damaged fence that they haven't got around to fixing yet and a house down the block with a blue tarp on top because they have a hole on their roof.

Market forces rule. Early heavy tanks painted in grey and/or winter implies Russia, which is not deemed to be economically viable...which I'm not sure is true...at least if it has a swastika on it. But for Russians...Alex's pristine T-34 sold for $240ish on ebay...pretty sad. If Alex can be hired to supply the small niche market (like eastern front), I will start adjusting my purshases accordingly. I'm so done with Normandy

Oh would I love to have a K&C winter T-34. We aleady have American winter armor with the M10 and Sherman. There has been some German winter releases. The Russians need a good winter tank release.

I respectfully disagree. I think that a grey or winter eastern front tiger would sell very quickly.....also varying the turret numbers would allow some of us to purchase multiple tanks for use in the same diorama..... since the mould would not change for K/C (only the paint scheme and numbers would vary) it would not significantly alter K/C's costs.......IMO......Vezzolf

I hope you're right. I would even buy an unpainted Tunisian Tiger, as that vehicle has so much potential
