I often wonder how much AFV and Tiger Tank repaints cost.$$$???? It seems that for the most part this is necessary for products that require improvement.....For the most part recent Figarti Tiger Tanks and T-34's seem to be very well done in regards to detail and paint. Do any good fellows feel the need for repaints on Figarti Tigers???? I think they are excellent as is without the added cost of re-paints.??????....All that I would like to have re-painted is different turret numbers....What say yee good gentlemen.:wink2:

Battle Scene Productions has available an excellent high quality decal set that will solve anyones renumbering needs. We guarantee the absolute highest quality. They are the first 1/30th decal set made.

Just remove the old decals and stick these babies on. If the markings are painted on the AFV just use a tiny bit of fingernail polish remover with a swab, taking off a little at a time. You can PM me here for details on the decals.

I repainted my Figarti Lee tank. I am not a fan of the dark olive color and prefer a lighter scheme that is more heavily weathered.. Michael

I don't think Figarti nor King&Country Tanks need to be repainted as it is quite apparant they release all of the paint schemes sooner or later by the factory anyway.
I prefer a factory done paint scheme versus some one's own rendition. Look at all of the new T-34's and Tigers within the last few months.
Its all there !!!! :wink2: As Maddadicus mentioned he did his own to suit his own preferences. The bottom line to each his own.....

Frank..

Interesting thread. I suppose its down to individuals but, regardless that I repaint etc I don't believe that a manufacturer will ever be able, nor inclined, to do some of the bespoke jobs that can be done by the repainter or, the individual collectors wish lists. As we see on this forum with the amount of want lists collectors imaginations are probably greater than the manufacturers. If your one that's happy waiting to see if a certain unit or colour way is done then fine if not, then its your money or possessions if a swap deal is struck to do with as you please

as has been mentioned its easy enough to replace markings the only thing is I have found you have to be extra careful when removing Figarti compared to others. If you are going to do it spend half an hour researching the unit to ensure you replace with the correct markings. German units often had specific style letters shaped etc unique to them even in the same regiment different companies had different styles. Not many of the early tiger so, that's easy same with the DAK version the wittmann would need the markings and the barrel kills removed as it was specific to him at the time of the ritterkreuz award. Once there off you could depict it as you please

I have done many figarti repaints or touch up's as has been mentioned when doing allied AFV's they do seem to favour a darker shade of colour and, as we well know they have had a myriad of issues with paint flaking where if you start removing it lots more will come away. What is interesting is that I have had several from collectors who want their AFV's to match with their K&C in terms of colour and weathering but, have not had many say they want their K&C to match with Figarti. Again, I suppose its down to the collector in question
