Here is the Tunisian Tiger equipped with its tank riders from the two references (3 pieces each) K&C...
I was able to make a nice mix of the new and the old style which blends very well...
This is the first time I'm presenting one of my pieces... a few figurines are missing, a sand base, an accessory (I opted for the Desert Village Gateway), one or two palm trees, 2 Arabs from ''the life of Jesus'' that I spotted and it will be complete...

A very impressive beast, does it have same turret number as the model?

Now that would be a coincidence. It did not have any identifiers. I believe it has been repainted at some point. The guide at US Army Armor & Cavalry Collection was very knowledgeable and told us that it's actually a Frankenstein vehicle with parts (barrel, turret, etc.) from several other Tigers as German mechanics resorted to cannibalizing parts when the Allies cut off their lines of communication across the Mediterranean.

Yes it looks like a repaint, I've never seen any German armour in person. I'm going to visit the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum later this year, I can't wait, maybe get a ride in a tank.

Don't forget the paracetamol for afterwards, from the exhaust fumes !

Great pictures of the new Tiger, Francis. Thanks so much for sharing; love the close-up shots. I think the new and old tank riders look good together. I esp. like the older 4-figure set. The all tan uniforms mix things up a bit. Although the paint/faces look great, I do miss the DAK emblems on the new figures though.

You've got a really nice collection! What are your thoughts on the new Tiger?

Here's my old set:

Brendan: cool picture of the real deal. (y)

Thanks for the compliment!
Yes, the old set is nicer thanks to these all beige outfits which offer a diversity of colors that we don't have on the new set...
The essential scarf which covered the face to protect oneself from the sand is missing...
Surprising that K&C did not think of this detail, although it is very present within the units...
As for the DAK logo, we see it on the different Panzers, like the Panzer IV but I didn't find it on the Tigers...
I'm not sure that the DAK Tigers were marked with this logo...
I found the bumpy appearance around the turret ''weird''... from what I've seen of desert tigers, they don't have this appearance but a smooth surface...
Perhaps the first models to leave the factory...
If anyone has any specific info on this...
Otherwise, the piece is perfect and will be a milestone in the history of K&C... there is no doubt that these limited ''all metal'' prints will gain great value over time...
Don't miss it if you can...
Let's mention the packaging, perfect too..
If you don't want to develop a large diorama, the camel Korps and the tank riders are essential to highlight a small scene of this majestic Tiger...
I will present the two other ''all metal'' Tigers soon through nice shots..

And look forward to the next one!!!
The Tiger of Normandy?
