Tigers !!! (1 Viewer)

Nice pictures! Great scenery. Who made the ss, because their camo is right on

Nice.....Now we need a Figarti tri camo.....KING TIGER:salute::

I hate to say it but I think FIGARTI IS DEAD !!!!!!.

NASB :salute::

Figarti's death is speculation, but they have gone awfully quiet.

After what Matt at Hobby Bunker (after Chicago show) had to report sounds like Figarti is not going anywhere, as well as the few items shown by Figarti at last years Chicago show, there certainly is not much noise happening but with a new owner I'm sure comes many changes, I for one hope that Figarti is around for the long haul, time will tell...Sammy

I'd like to see Figarti producing their great AFVs again, but if they don't return the blow is lessened with Britains coming back into WW2 and Ken stating he has plans for more vehicles in 2016.

I am hopeful for Figartis return, as their last Tigers were exceptional. With the possible exception of the Honour Bound Gold Tiger, the Figarti steel wheeled Tiger is the best Tiger so far in the hobby. The Figarti Panther IS the best Panther ever released in this hobby.

I like all of you would like a so called come back from Figarti, but IMO its lost hope. When I saw the pic's of the Winter KV1 and
The white paint, it just looked like CRAP!!!.

NACAB (AKA Neil) :salute::

I must agree....The Figarti Winter KV-1 does look BAD....The paint job on the Figarti Winter Panther was not as bad....BUT also a somewhat poor IMO.

Best winter panther in the hobby for along time !!

To each their own, but I prefer the greater amount of crisper detail on the Figarti version:

- all hatches open/close
- engine compartment opens/closes
- running gear has individual wheels and track links as opposed to molded running gear with added "mud/gunk" in the tracks
- aluminum barrel and muzzle break that is crisper and proportionally correct

My rankings for Winter Panthers would be:

1. Figarti
2. Honour Bound
3. King and Country

I have the K/C Winter Panther and generally I think it's pretty good.....I prefer seeing some of the tracks on a Winter Panther without the side shields.....Some present and some missing would be even better........BUT.....The commader figure on the K/C Winter Panther is AWEFUL....VERY POOR IMO.....Those big white gloves:rolleyes2:.... Have Got To Go.....{sm4}

Ridiculous wearing warm white gloves in the snow :rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

I have my Honor Bound and Figarti Panther tanks sitting next to each other on a shelf and there is no question which is better; the Figarti. Until K&C manages to do realistic tracks, sprockets and bogies they will never equal Honor Bound, Figarti or First Legion in realistic armor. K&C armor is equivalent to W. Britains or New Model Army IMHO! Like everyone else I hope Figarti survives; but I doubt that they will given the Chinese ecconomy!

Sorry to disagree but those gloves are ridiculously large and look silly....The panther is pretty good as I said, but K/C could have done a MUCH BETTER commader figure for this panther...They have done better then this many times for tank commaders in previous AFV efforts.

I am not an armour collector (although I have a few random pieces) but just a thought as I sit and look at an ever growing pile of work in my intray. It is always interesting to see vehicles ranked and I appreciate the opinions of people who are clearly more knowledgeable in an area than I am. I am equally interested when the product of a company that is defunct, near defunct, or just missing in action is rated more highly than the product manufactured by a company that still operates without due recognition that the better way may not have been the better business way. Just because a company is defunct does not make it any less probable that they have made the better vehicle (I have to defer to the experts here) but speaking for myself, if I was a manufacturer, I would not take my lead from what, by definition, was an unsuccessful business approach. I do recognise that the topic is about the best vehicle rather than the best business model but an interesting addition I hope.

Your comment seems to be that making a detailed, accurate AFV at a correct scale is not economically viable and we should just be content with AFVs that are adequate, but not the best. Not sure I agree with that. The highly detailed AFV business model seems to be working out just fine for First Legion. Their last two tank releases (Sherman and grey Panzer IV) are extremely detailed both both sold out with no problems.
