TM Franco Prussian War (2 Viewers)

Looks great Louis............I have a funny feeling you'll be adding more FPW figures to that layout soon.

That's all I can say for now..................;)................
I love the suggestion of more FPW figures.
Thanks for the hint George....... very exciting

I think it's awesome that you became a "fan" of the FPW based on the figures and decided to collect them.

It's stories like that which make the hobby so great.

I was always interested in this period, the artwork grabbed me, specifically the subject of the fighting in the cemetery at Gravelotte St. Privat, I found a company about 20 years ago that sold 20mm FPW figures, the scale that I collect, what dissuaded me was I'd be starting from scratch and it seemed so daunting, so I passed.

Then about 5 years ago I was searching on Ebay and found several lots of that manufacturers figures painted and priced nicely considering how well they were painted, so I dove in.

Since then, two companies in 20mm have been producing FPW figures, my collection has swelled to about 1,000 infantry, 200 cavalry and 24 guns per side, it's arguably my favorite period to collect.

Glad to see you enjoying it.

I have seen some of the pictures you posted of your fantastic collection. The figures look fantastic when they are amassed.
