I loved Leave it to Beaver when I was a little kid.RIP Mr. Dow.

Great show, great character. They truly don't make them like that anymore. I could watch those old classic TV shows over and over. I haven't watched a modern TV sitcom in years.
 
used to love me some Leave It To Beaver...one of my favorite shows as a kid...similar in script story value to Andy Griffith or even The Rifleman...they had many episodes that taught moral values to the Beaver, Opie and Mark...passed on to the viewer...now with that said...I always thought the rumor of Eddie Haskel being John Holmes was hoot...on a side not...my oldest friend to memory is the producer/director of Austin City Limits...an Austin, Texas based music show broadcast on Public tv...he went on a boat excursion with Tony Dow and Jerry Mathers some 30 years ago and t6old me those 2 guys really partied like it was 1999...the drugs were flowing he said...
 
I loved this show as a kid growing up in the late 50's. No violence, no drugs, no sex....wouldn't make it today!
