Not sure if this has been done already but here goes..................the right room for an argument? Not necessarily in order but as they came to me..........

1. Omaha Beach landing in Saving Private Ryan

2. Factory attack by T34-85s in Cross of Iron

3. Battle for Neumen in Band of Brothers

4. Battle for 105 battery on D-Day in Band of Brothers

5. Irish Guards assault at beginning of Garden in A Bridge too Far

6. Eagle day ariel scenes in Battle of Britain

7. The final assault in Zulu

8. Assault on the 88mm battery in When Trumpets Fade

9. Pegasus Bridge assault in The Longest Day

10. Most of Black Hawk Down

Would be interested to see what else people suggest.......... There are loads more that I couldn't fit in!

The up-hill assaults in Hamburger Hill.
The battle scenes in Pork Chop Hill (all of them).
Branaugh's version of the Battle of Agincourt.
Battle scenes in All Quiet on the Western Front (either version), especially the first massed French assault.
The village confrontation between Barnes and Elias in Platoon.
Hunting the sniper in Full Metal Jacket.
Crawling through the grass in Thin Red Line (Mallick version)

Add the Death of General Gordon in "Khartoum", the Ride of the Valkeries scene from "Apocalpse Now", and the boat ride across the Volga in "Enemy at the Gates". Also the Germania battle in "Gladiator", the entire First Cav battle segment in "We were soldiers". The penultimate scene in "Fort Apache". The Best computer generated battle scene, Thermopalae in "300". While not full scale battles, the sword fighting scenes in "The Duelists, "Rob Roy", and "The life and times of Colonel Blimp" were excellent.
