... of the charge and also my K&C collecting.

Well, after much soul searching over the past couple of months I am reaching the end of my 'serious' collecting of K&C. SOHK has been my main area, but with few new releases this year I started to look to my other interests to fill the void.

So, I've used my accumulated K&C budget to buy some plane tickets, just back from Cambodia and off to Hawaii next week. Then plan back to Cambodia early in the new year to help at a NGO that helps remove all the unexploded ordinance that litters the country.

But I've also spending some of the money on the remaining sets that I do like and are available. One of these has been the Crimean war series, which I have always liked, but avoided in favour of SOHK. Anyway, bit the bullet and here are a some pix of my Charge of the Light Brigade setup.

Re: Towards the end

Good choice of figures  my favourite range from K&C and my wife collects the SOHK. Very nice and good luck.

Looks stunning and the photography gives it a real gritty look and feel. Excellent stuff

Julian,

Thanks very much for sharing your excellent display of the COLB.

K&C has one of the best "action" figures of Lord Cardigan mounted, not to say that there are that many alternate versions by other makers.

Raymond.:)

Great figures and great photos, please take care and be safe in that most dangerous work your doing in Cambodia. I'm sure it's much needed and the world is a better place for your work.
Much good luck and may the angels stand by you and protect you!

Dear "Jules118":

Really great looking diorama & photos of it!

"Iron Brigade"

Julian - the diorama looks brilliant. The groundwork looks very similar to that seen in the Lady Butler painting 'The Return'... I have all the charge sets apart from the most recent ones and this has helped to motivate me to do my own diorama in 2011. An excellent series that I think will be even more highly regarded and sought after in years to come.

Very nice photography skills!

I wish I can stop "series" collection of K&C. My savings is draining in a very fast pace this month. I bought 20 K&C UK Crimea figures (10 mounted, 10 foot) all in one lot this month.

I tried resisting the crimea figures, knowing that they are way overpriced.

But I admit the sculpting and the poses are extra-ordinary, better than K&C average. They have spent some more effort in designing these Crimea war figures.

Excellent scene Julian, great work with a superb range of figures:cool:
