Dear collector,

I am a final year Student at Carlos III University Madrid (Spain/Europe). I am currently completing my final project towards a degree in Business Administration. Please find attached a survey that will be used for marketing purposes related to this project. It will take about five minutes of your time and the information provided will remain confidential.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

I would be cautious in clicking on a link from a person about which we know little.

I'd agree with ya Brad, a bit cheeky to say the least and who knows where the information would ends up. Sounds like a scam to me.

I agree. I am not really connecting a BA degree (I have one among others) with toy soldier collection...Especially coming out of the blue from someone with no credentials in that domain...

I'm also doing a survey for my clown college:

Out of all the collectors on here, how many are going to click on the strangers potentially dodgy link?

Scott

Hi Guys,

It has been looked at and appears to be exactly what it says it is. But this is not an endorsement or recommendation by TF to go ahead and click on the link and take the survey.

I can see it. It sounds perfectly plausible, just as one might survey consumers about their buying habits for any other product. I can see this as part of some business admin course.

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think this is the first time someone has accessed the forum and asked us to provide this kind of information, either.

I don't say this as an endorsement, however. I'm not clicking the link, either.

Prost!
Brad

I think it may be best to submit a "POLL" here on this forum. Not too many willing to risk getting a Virus on their PC from an unknown poster !

Why not just come out and say that you're the lawyer for the estate of a dead Nigerian Prince, trying to get his wealthy holdings to the rightful heir?

Your distrust is understandable, but I can assure you that in this case is totally unfounded. Pedro Martin is a real person, a good friend and in fact, an excellent person.

He is finishing his studies, and his final project is the creation of a company dedicated to the manufacture of miniatures, basically to focus their work to the manufacture and marketing of a tangible product, separating the stream of companies .com offering virtual products.

I personally have advised on everything related to the manufacture and the placing on the market of the product.

All he seeks with his survey is to understand the point of view of the collector, tastes, dreams, and ultimately what the end customer expects from the Manufacturer

Thanks for letting us know. I think that's all most people needed was someone we know saying this was legitimate. I'll go do the survey now.

I would not do it. Anybody can say they're from so and so and put a bot on your computer.

I took the survey- it only took a minute and was entirely harmless. Emlio has vouched for this gentleman, and I think it is entirely safe. As a current undergrad, I think his project is certainly odd, which makes it all the more interesting and original. I am also intimately familiar with how hard it is to get people to take surveys, so I would encourage all of you to give it a go.
