.......But Munich is a big town so you never know what you might stumble on too.
Now Dave- why did I know I was going to see you post up here?????

I know there are some stories behind that statement!!!
I lived in Nuremburg from 1979-82. I was a young lad then and remember all sorts of toy soldier shops around Germany. Don't be afraid to stop in at train or hobby shops- they may have something there.
Something to note- they love the Zinfiguren there. Also, WW2 items, kind of taboo- if you are looking for the WS 35 (Hitler) figure, chance are, you probably won't find it. They sold a ton of Britains Deetail figures and regular Britains gloss. Plastic figures are really popular- especially the middle ages figures. I am willing to bet though, if you find a shop, you will be blown away. You will also find something pretty unique to which you will be able to cherish for awhile.
Not up on German geography- certainly Dachau is a stop you will never EVER forget- I was there and still remember it. If you get a chance though try to hit Rotenburg on de tauber (on the river). Outside of Nuremburg, that was EASILY my favorite place in Germany and one of my favorite places still to this day.I don't know how far it is from Munich though.
I also remember seeing one of Patton's staff cars there too- at some military history museum there. If you get a chance look around for those as well.
And Neunschewanstein (SP????)- a most beautiful castle!!!
Let us know how it goes!!
