Having never been to a show before and because the corresponding website is down (Service Unavailable all the time) I have a few questions.

Is this a decent show to go to? Going down to London represents a big effort and financial investment!

Also since Im hoping to take my partners younger brother is there enough too keep both of us amused for a few hours whilst my better half goes shopping? :)

I mainly collect Britians, I believe they will have a stand there.

Cheers,

Hi system

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry that the site is down we had a mass of activity over the night and both the Show site and the TSTV site have suffered. we are working on getting these back up for you to be able to view.

Is it worth it??

we have guys come from all over the world who say it is worth it. It is the largest show of its kind in europe.

250 tables of toy soldiers with nearly every table having something different.
150 or so individual traders.

Not only is BRITAINS there but there are many traders there selling BRITAINS so you can see the new stuff and then buy.

Show is on from 10 - 4 for £4 or if you want to catch the worm and be an early bird you can get in at 7.30am for £10. Your guest if under 14 will be FREE at anytime.

there are two halls for the show and you can get in via either of them and the entrance fee covers both.

the show is at the Royal national russel Square coming down from yorkshire if you get the train you can get the tube to russel square station and then it is a two min walk to the hotel. if you drive you can park under the hotel for £10 all day. the shops are just around the corner of the hotel (regent street etc) so be warned!!

the main site will be back up and running as soon as our engineers get it running

Hey System and welcome to the forum:).

The London shows are all really enjoyable.(The December show is probably the best show of the year)however the March and June shows are very good too.Great atmosphere at all of these, you get to meet up with many other collectors and the range of Toy soldiers on sale is amazing.Hours of fun(and thats just at the K&C tables!;))

Hope you enjoy

Rob

Welcome to the forum, systempunkt!

I'll add that as a general observation, going to any show is fun. You get to meet dealers and other collectors face-to-face, and see live the items you've seen in magazines, on the Net or in books.

The Internet has made instant communication around the globe a reality, but you still can't beat live interaction. Hope you decide to go, and I hope you and your partner's son really enjoy yourselves, it's a good hobby with a lot of nice and interesting people to meet.

Prost!

thanks for all the information tony much appreciated and so good to have you back controlling the big K&C ship:rolleyes:

Thanks for the warm welcome and information. The site is back and proved very useful in getting to know what to expect!

Looks as though we will be driving down, can we expect a parking space or does it fill up rather quickly?

Once again, thank you. :)

The car park is large but if you don't have any luck in that one there is an NCP opposite. What a few guys do that are coming down from the north is they park on the fringe of London and then tube it in. i personally would drive all the way in as it is relatively straight forward to get there off of the bottom of the M1 and there is no congestion charge due to it being the weekend.

hope to see you there

The burglary has depleted our stocks of certain codes but we will be in attendance with our usual ranges including some new John Jenkins, Firstlegion and Patriot figures together with our new range of Blackhawk figures.
David has made some new stunning dioramas so please stop by and say hi.
Mark & David.
