Dear Fellow Forum Members,

Does anyone know of military miniature or toy soldier stores in Rome and Florence? I would need the name and hopefully the address of these establishments.

Thanks:)

Steven, was in Rome 2 years ago. Found a small toy shop that had Jenkins, K&C and Britains... It's near the Trevi Fountain, on a corner. I'm going on memory, but I'm pretty sure thats where it was. Have a great trip, Andy

Carlos, thats the place... great photo's bringing back memories of a great trip. Italy is still one of my favorite countries in Europe.

Steven,

Have you looked at the "Toy Soldier Resources" Section of Bill Hocker's Website? It lists three shops in Italy, including these two in Rome and Florence, and provides links to their websites and/or emails:
•La Bottega del Soldatino, Rome ITALY, Luciano Antonini
•Ceri, Via Die Serragli 26/r, Florence ITALY, Danilo Ceri

Thanks for the very nice photographs, Carlos.

The Trevi Fountain brings back pleasant memories of my visit to Rome in 1982.

There is an interesting tradition regarding the Trevi Fountain.

It is said that if you throw a coin over your shoulder into the water, you will be sure to return to Rome.....has not worked for me though.

I had not started collecting then, so I did not check out the toy soldier store.

Raymond.:)
