Toy Soldiers on TV March 6th - Watch me on Strange Inheritence (FOX BUSINESS NETWORK) (1 Viewer)

I worked with Jamie for a few hours the day we filmed. Carole was trying to set us up. It almost happened but she had to meet with Fox producers..oh well. i was ready to move to San Diego and we here live in boy toy.

The $25K was my initial offer when I viewed the collection in Feb. 2015. I would have paid more after negotiation. There were no boxes and more like 5000 figures in my count. Yes many great Trophy figures but also many figures I would be lucky to fetch $5 for.
It took myself, my brother and girlfriend 2 solid days to pack it up. We filled about 50 boxes layered with foam and bubble wrap. It would have taken weeks to sort out. Add $1000's on the the cost for labor, wear and tear, travel, ebay fees, etc. She was on the 38th Floor of a building and parking wasn't another challenge and expense ($60.00 a day or more).

If that collection had boxes and was bought in 2011 or 2012 it would have been worth quite a bit more.

The appraiser said the Stadden figures would fetch $450.00 each. I say $50.00. Some recently sold on ebay for $20.00 each. $300K maybe if their were rich clueless collectors bidding at a NYC auction. I sell and go to shows, I know reality.

They left out some great content and made me look look like I was trying to rip them off. In the end it was for TV. I spent 2 years communicating with Carole and we were very happy to work together. We formed a great bond, she grieving her husband and me going through a divorce and love for toy soldiers I shared with Bob.

I will post the full youtube show when it gets posted.

I always say that the Fox Network is aptly named.

Prost!

Yeah, if you can link the full episode, Matt, that would be cool to see. I'd like to see the Stadden figures, too.

They were a couple of 90mm Civil War figures. From a chess set I think.

From Bernard's [RIP] post.

Prodding the Alzheimer's grey cells, seem to remember when Bernard sold off his entire collection. I
bought everything except a few. Didn't want the chess sets and Bernard had a hard time selling them. Finally sold
one set to somebody in New York for about $500 for the entire set, which was about what he paid for it.

That's why I'm curious to see the show. I see Stadden figures for sale, online and at shows, and often, the seller thinks the brand justifies a higher asking price. It's similar to a seller marking something as "Old!" and then putting a high price tag on the item.

Prost!

Brad, somewhere on my forum I posted pictures from the collection. Have a video on my FB page too

Finally had a chance to watch the episode with Matt from Hobby Bunker, very interesting show all around I recorded a bunch of episodes, as far as Matt's episode I was kind of disappointed that there are supposedly only 50,000 toy soldiers collectors world wide??? not sure how he comes up with his math but whatever, my wife had the chance to watch the show with me and thanked her lucky stars my toy soldier room is only 1-100th of that collection!!!
