For my new dio I had to repaint ATW 009 para. No more AA shoulder patch but a screaming eagle, no more American flag, no more camo and a full repaint of his uniform;
I add a picture of the original para so that you can compare. M%ore to follow

very very nice painting Guy. I like the new darker tone and weathering. Excellent job on the shoulder patch.
Is it now a "P" figure ^&grin ?

looks very beautiful Guy.
How did you made the 101 shoulder patch.??

I draw them on the uniforms with very fine pigment liners from STAEDTLER
guy:)

Thanks Guy.
it has become a master piece!

I work on a group of k & c figures from the big red one to the 90th infantry division
with a Willys jeep.
For a first aid station diorama.

The 90th is easy to do, for the background colour you can use the kaki from the uniform or shirt. You just have to draw a red T with to half circles on the bottom left and right and the job is done

It just struck me.....who has the same set and who also thinks there is something wrong with the figure's helmet . Is it not too big for the para's head and is the rim not too large ? There is something strange about the proportions. Also his rifle looks not like an M1( too long) it seems more like a rifle from WW1. Or is it just me the rivet counter ??????

Not one of those helmets are covering the eyes.

Thanks Guy.
I have something special with the 90th.
have a nice collection scale 1/1 and since three years I am in possession of a Willys Jeep from 1942.
I been few times a liberation parade with it.

So now I'm going to make a diorama about 90th in Normandy.

That could be an explanation but the helmets came in one size only. The soldier had to adjust the webbing in the liner to fit his head.

This is how the liberators of the Normandy village will look like
