A belated thanks to all who stopped by our room at Chicago. It was great fun to meet and chat with you, both new faces and returning ones. Already looking forward to next year! If any of you will be around November 6, we'll also be at the Cantigny Toy Soldier Show in Wheaton, IL. It's a must see venue as the First Division Museum on the grounds is superb. And of course, toy soldiers aplenty.

By the way, we'll probably add another show to our plans next year. Any suggestions as to which should it be?

Best,
Dave

Oh, and Frank, thanks for dropping in and posting the snapshots. It's nice to have editorial coverage!

Cheers,
Dave

David...really enjoying my mountain piece...any chance you might make a Part B to it?

Mike,
Glad you're enjoying the Pass. As far as producing a Part B goes, here's my official stance at the moment: "I ain't sayin' I is, and I ain't sayin' I ain't."

I have, in fact, batted the idea around before – everything from a water add-on to a cliff and cross-roads. But the truth is, it's probably a back burner project. That being said, I do really like the idea of modularity and being to build a larger display from smaller parts...so you never know.

Best,
Dave

David...

please do consider it...from a collectors point of view...we (at least me) are always looking for something to plug into our shelves or cabinets...something that we can realistically display our figures on...something that has a tall backdrop (like the tall detachable mountain cliff face)...something that is detailed and realistic...something that the figures can "adapt to" and be displayed on...something with a flat base that is large enough to securely place our figures on...

if you do decide to make a Part B...please also consider the most "seamless" thing you can create...

a continuation of the road would be suitable...

and lastly...I would suggest a road with no rocks in the middle of it...

I promise I will buy one...

I know I am plugging into this thread late, but I just have to comment on the Traverse products after seeing them in Chicago...it is very difficult to do justice to them with photos. They are exceptionally well designed and executed, and David's efforts not only on his terrain, but also on these sturdy yet flexible backdrops has really paid off. Great stuff all around. These are all sure to be very popular among collectors looking for affordable and attractive displays.

Mike,
Consider it considered. Part B, that is. With a clearer road. And the "loose rocks" comment touches on one of my goals for future pieces: actually including loose rocks (or shrubs, or whatever) that a collector can place at their discretion. That way, if you want a clear road, you got one. Or maybe the next day you're in the mood for a rock slide, and there you go. Production cost is the only prohibitive factor (more molds, etc.)...but we're working on it.

Nicholas,
Thanks for your kind words. It was great to meet you at the show, and I am equally impressed with your displays and scenics. By the way, if you haven't seen Nick's WWII barracks, you've got to check them out. Great stuff.

Best,
Dave

You're a good man David...thanks for understanding the need for a flat road to pose figures on...I hope you do decide to produce a Part B...
