Treefrog is always on the hunt to bring you the best quality and variety of military miniatures available. Sometimes we find them, sometimes they find us, and sometimes we get a little help from our friends.
Brett Williams of Military Workshop in Brisbane, Australia offers exquisite 12-inch cold cast bronze figurines portraying a variety of Australian soldiers from different conflicts and eras in his shop and the company recently added a new North American branch, to honor and portray US servicemen. On Brett’s recommendation we are proud to offer Khaki Army cold-cast bronze figures on the Treefrog Treasures website. The detail possible on a 1/6 figure is absolutely amazing and these simple yet elegant figures are a fitting and moving tribute to those who served.
From the catalog:
From the Spanish-American War to modern times, the US serviceman has fought in, double-timed in, R&Red in and paraded in khaki. Our work pays tribute to that proud service.
KHAKI ARMY 12-inch cold cast bronze figurines are as individual as the service personnel they portray. Unlike mass-produced collectibles, our finely sculpted collector figurines are cast and finished one at a time – so each sculpt really is one of a kind. Often 2 years go into an individual sculpture, including over 200 hours of sculpting time. Extensive research and fine sculpting ensures that each subject is as historically and physically accurate as possible. Each casting is serial numbered.
KHAKI ARMY products are the work of a small team who aim to create impressive, accurate and enduring display pieces showing the grit and determination of the rank-and-file, the man on the ground.
Currently one WWII figure “Paratrooper – D-Day 82nd Airborne 1944” and three Vietnam figures “Firefight –Squad Leader”, “RTO – Radio Telephone Operator” and “Tex – Helicopter Crewman” are available.
“Baptism of Fire” from the 3rd Marine Division at the battle of Bougainville, November 1943 will be on the website for pre-order as soon we receive the rest of the product images. Two more figures, already on the website for pre-order, “Flyboy” a US Navy Pilot, and “Final Duty” a Marine Honor Guard will be available in December.

I hope you enjoy these new figures as much as we do.
Best regards,

I forgot to mention that we can get the non-US figures in for people as well, including a Lighthorse figure from Gallipoli, a WWI Lewis Gunner, a Desert Rat and WWII RAAF pilot. If you're an Aussie who buys from Brett--he may be able to get the US figures in for you, you'll have to ask him.
Regards,

Hi Guys,
As Shannon mentioned we have been selling these bronzed resin figures for about 6 years. The company that produces them is run by an Aussie and the brand name here is Naked Army (based on description of Aussie army in an Egyptian newspaper
in WWI).

When I heard they were doing US figures I thought TF might be interested. The detail is very good and most of
the buyers here know what they are talking about being servicemen or former servicemen or relatives. These
are good quaility figures designed by people who know what they are doing.

Some of the Aussie figures may also be of interest such as Lighthorse Gallipoli, Lewis Gunner, RAAF pilot and
Desert Rat and I understand TF can get those. I have sold a few overseas but postage is about $50 for one so
it is good they have expanded in USA. I will be getting some of the US figures as they look very good.

For those that can paint there have been a few guys down here who have bought the figures and then painted
them.

For those that may be interested I think you will be impressed if you get one.

Regards
Brett
