Treefroggers Gathering! (1 Viewer)

Rob,

I didn't think it would be a go-er, but I've just had some work time freed up as of yesterday for the 30th. Train fares are pretty reasonable. Wife has yet to be tackled on the issue, so I've devised a three option proposal for her. She's out with a friend at the moment supping wine, which is a good start.

Option 1 - I come down to London solo, spend lots of cash, doctor the receipts on the way home to prove that I've only spent a couple of quid on these toy soldier thingies.

Option 2 - As option 1, but take my boy down with me. A little more expensive, as he's now old enough to read and understand the price tags, so some form of bribery will be needed.

Option 3 - A family day out to St P. station, at which point we ditch the girls to go and do girl things whilst the boys go toy soldier shopping. This is the most risky and expensive option.

Soooo, pretty much looks like I'll be making it in one manner or another, unless she comes up with Option 4 - "No".
I'll get some more wine in the fridge....:D

Simon

Hello everyone,

I am new to the boards and I am looking forward to meeting everyone and attending the show, this will be my first show! I took a break from collecting for a few years but after stumbling across your forums here I very interested and intriqued by this hobby again!

I booked a flight and a room at the Hyatt and my wife and I will be arriving Friday night, I am looking forward to the show, she is looking forward to some shopping on Saturday and some nice dining. Looks like it will be a fun weekend.

John,

I'm not sure what your interests are but if you can, I'd get there a day early because the room trading is the big part of the show and you may find what you're looking for there. I frankly found the show itself a little anti-climactic as I had purchased everything I wanted to buy by Saturday.

At any rate, you'll have the time of your life.
