Added gilt paint to the knight n horse

I like the gold brushwork Victor on the knight and horse. Quite effective.

Hi Grey,
tx for yr inputs. I’ve started to paint the yellow embroidery

So I dug this out of obscurity and pondered on why I didnt quite finish it. Then I realised that I had found a few more pix with more colourful heraldry.

So Ive decided to repaint this knight altogether.

So Ive started to repaint the figure using acrylics as undercoat.

So I looked critically at this figure. The knight is seated rather too far back near the rump. There is no doubt that this horse is too short in length.

I decided therefore to completely redo the whole piece from the beginning. Hence I removed the mantle and sawed the horse in half.

I will now soak all the pieces in thinner to remove the paint.

Im baacck. Just came back from a trip to lovely Penang where I attended the largest model fiesta in Asia. Still unloading some pix and will show them under a different section. A real treat for you lot.

Here, Ive stripped off the paint and will now redo this piece again. Such are the trials and tribulations of this hobby....
