I searched every room i could find and there were no sets to be had. Well there was the coronation set with the mounted band but this was an older set with the pink faces. Maybe this is why a boxer rebelion set of austro-hungarian sailors just went for $380 on ebay. Might question is where are all the sets ? Somebody somewhere must be interested in moving a collection. It was a little dissapionting to say the least at not finding any trophy. I ended up buying some french horse grenidiers from little legion and paul herman and also finally got to obtain some beautiful yankee cavaly from tedtoy. He has got some nice stuff.

Shipping stuff does make it hard to get lead soldiers. I have some Trophy that I love. I feel your pain. Going to the show and not finding what you are looking for. The thrill of the hunt does continue!

Puts a different perspective on ebay. One can always try Old Toy Soldier Home. Craig has some good sets at fair prices.

According to their web site, Trophy of Texas still has some sets

Saw the Austo-hungarian sailors go for $380. Totally ridiculous.

There's a Defense of Rorkes Drift set on ebay now for $250 looks like an older version of the Store house set (pink faces and thick bases).

My guess it will end up going for around $600.

There's also a ZS69 which I'd quite like but is overpriced at $200.

Trophy is unique, I have seen the Boxer pieces really go gangbusters too. I think that can be said about all Trophy sets. The issue to me is they made some of the finest pieces in gloss as well as very unique pieces. There is not a ton of each piece out there and there will be no more made. I think what we are seeing is an expensive market. I don't know that it will change (unfortunately).

I see there is a Boxer set on for 400 odd USD now.

More madness on ebay. An older zulu gatling gun set (EQ44Z) just went for £200. mind you that's only $300 now - the pound has really tanked in the past month.
