Trophy diorama help...sticky (1 Viewer)

Hi, I am new to this and hope someone can help me out. I just bought a Trophy set GWDH8 German machine gun section. The diorama base is resin and super sticky/ tacky. Did they come like that or did the previous owner spay something on it? The figures are normal glossy and dry....help is appreciated.

I don't believe it should be "sticky" mine is not. Is it tacky wax?

No it is almost as if someone sprayed some sort of fixative on it. It is mostly underneath but also to a lesser degree on top of the base. I will check with the seller. Just wanted to get an opinion first.
It is a nice set that I have not seen too often. I assume they came non tacky new. Thanks for your help.
