http://www.trophyoftexas.com/ Most of the regulars would know this site, but for newbies, it looks near complete for Trophy's various lines, with item # and last list price...No photos, but as a collectors inventory sheet, might be a help...Michael

Hi Michael,

Thanks very much for the information.

I have been using this site as a reference for Trophy of Wales for quite a while.

It was a lot better when there were images attached.

For some of the Trophy collections, Mike Laeding has on offer CDs with images.

I have emailed him to ask to purchase some of these CDs, but there has been no reply.

The next best thing for images is to refer to the threads by the Lt. and GICOP.

The final bid prices for Trophy catalogs (hardcopy) on eBay were between USD$50.00 to $100.00, if my memory serves me correctly.

Regards, Raymond.

I have scanned in some of my 1997 Trophy catalogue as a PDF. I tried to email it to a few members on the forum but it was too big a file for g mail or hotmail Does anyone here have any suggestions

Would saving in a word document format and then compressing the files with winzip work?

Jeff

I scanned them in as a PDF. Perhaps I should just scan them in as a word document. I did the AZW section today at work and am planning to do the other sections tomorrow.

Can anyone enlighten me and let me know if this company is still operating and offering items in Texas

"Kind of". Mike must be busy in another career or life....He never answers e-mails, the phone, and then it's a runaround, all to say he doesn't have sets anymore:( Ive written him off as a waste of time. $.02

Hi Mike,

He has been listing Trophy sets (mostly ACW, Napoleonics, WWI) on eBay every now and then.

Thusfar, I have not seen any Zulu War sets.

I think he is clearing off the remainder of his Trophy sets in stock.

Regrettably (for myself), he ships to the USA and Canada only.

Best, Raymond:).

Raymond,
And no Paypal either, for what thats worth. I just wish, if you are doing business, then serve the customer. If not, just put up the"closed" sign.

Never found I could deal with Trophy of Texas before and after Trophy of Wales was providing the sets and figures....The Lt.

actually michael laeding at trophy of texas does have a rather large 300 piece zulu diorama that he is tinkering with selling so you zulu collectors might give him a jingle. i myself still need some hand to hand sets which i know are in his display. good luck

One last note, the cd from trophy of texas i have has 1186 photos ofdifferent sets on it. Some photos are of the same sets showing different angles.they are all very nicely done.

In his "updated" newsletter he say he'll not think less than $3000 for all, and he won't break it up. Who has that dough to put down?
Sounds like a dying endeavour for Mike.:(

Mike Laeding's bark is worse than his bite. He is just a big tough Texan on the outside with a marsh mellow heart on the inside. Just keep on at him.

Damian,
I'm just afraid I might bite 'm over the apparent/perceived nonchalance of running a business!
Mike

Its just his style, he treasures his trophy stock just like we do
