For sale or trade is a very rare set from Trophy's The Raj and Indian Army Range which is almost never offered for sale: PW8 The Pride of Bikaner's Army - The Camel Drawn Artillery. I went back through the Old Toy Soldiers Auction USA's previous 27 auctions and couldn't find one. I also don't recall seeing one on eBay either, but I could be wrong about that.

I am asking $795 plus shipping. The set and its box are both in excellent condition. I believe that all the chains are present, but I was never smart enough to figure out how they hooked up (and I am a little lazy to boot), so I just wrapped them around the camel's necks when they were displayed. If interested, please contact me at matara42@roadrunner.com. Thanks.

WOW,

that a very interesting set of GUNS & GUNNERS, something I've never seen before.

Seems that they have followed the Royal Artillery Tradition of retaining blue coats and red facings...

NICE :)

Hi John,

Thank you, I am glad you liked it. It is indeed a very interesting set that one rarely sees which could be a function of Trophy not having made all that to many of them in the first place or that they were relatively expensive back in the day when you could buy a set of toy soldiers from other manufacturers for $30 to $50. I have a brochure from Imperial Productions in the mid-1980s where their six-figure sets were $31 which meant you could buy more than nine Imperial sets or this one for about the same amount of money.

Mike
