This set is from Trophy's Raj Range and is extremely hard to find. Set No: - PW9 THE HYDRABAD FIELD ARTILLERY GUN TEAM consists of 15 pieces to include a 9lb Field Gun and Limber drawn by six horses and three riders, with four gunners seated on the limber and the gun. I went back and searched all the previous 28 Old Toy Soldier Auctions to see if it had ever been offered for sale. It had, just once, at Auction #17 in June 2014 as lot 3104 where it sold for $750 and, if you include the 23 to 26% Buyer's Premium, it really cost the winning bidder from $922 to $945.
This is a rare opportunity for serious Trophy collectors to pick up a set that could easily be the crown jewel in your Trophy collection. I am asking $795 plus shipping for the set whichs is in excellent condition, as is the original box, especially when you consider that the set is about 25 years old. The provenace of the set is as follows: In 1994, I purchased a large, glossy toy soldier collection that included sets from Trophy, Imperial, Tradition, King & Country, etc., from Phil F. who is a banker at the Federal Reserve in San Francisco. Among the items in the collection was this set which Phil had purchased directly from a dealer. So, he was the original owner and I am the second owner.
