Trophy WW1 (1 Viewer)

Public service announcement: 4 nice Trophy WWI sets just popped up on eBay. Two mini dioramas (The Devils Ladies and the Stokes Mortar Team), the German Prisoners set and the German reserves set. Reasonable starting bids. I’m not the seller and I’m not bidding so go get them gentlemen.:salute::

Gentlemen,

I haven't found a Trophy WWI set I needed to complete my Trophy WWI collection in nearly a year. Any help finding the last few sets would be greatly appreciated.

On the Western Front I need only two sets:

Gray (Royal Navy) Troop Transport Bus:

For the Russian front, all I need is the Russian Supply Wagon (GW51). I still need the following Turkish sets for Galipolli:
GA12 Yaver Hayri Pasha Senior Ottoman Turkish Officer
GA13 Ottoman Turkish Standard Bearer of the Escort
GA14 Ottoman Turckish Bugler of the Escort
GA16 Supply Camel of the Escort
GA17 Mountain Mule Gun Battery of the Escort
GA18 Ammunition Mule of the Escort
GA19 Ottoman Turkish Cavalry Officer
GA20 Ottoman Turkish Cavalry Standard Bearer
GA21 Ottoman Turkish Cavalry Bugler

Thanks for all your Trophy diorama posts, Louis.
And Martyn; always superb GICOP.
And anyone else who posts Trophy.
We will post our large (but stagnant) Trophy sets in decent dioramas one day...
Best Wishes for our fellow collectors, particularly of our favourite gloss Trophy.

Subscribe to a photo hosting service. It’s very easy to post photos with a service.

I'm no good with pics either. Jazzeum has a good idea! Or just keep trying, the experts say it's not so hard to get the the hang of it. I would love to see your collection!

I never used to be able to figure out how to resize and post photos, and for years had to ask Brad to do it for me. Then I got an I-phone. If you take a photo with an I-phone, then e-mail it, it gives you the option to choose the size of the photo (small, medium, large, actual size). If you select medium, it will be the right size to upload onto this site. You shouldn't have trouble uploading any photo you take this way.

You don’t have to take the extra step of emailing the photo as any photo you take will go right into your photo library. When you click on Manage Attachments in your post and you choose a photo from your Photo Library on your iPhone or iPad, at the bottom of the photo it will say “Actual Size” and show the size of the attachment. Click on Actual Size and it will give you Small, Medium or Large. Click on the one you want to use and then click on the word “Use.” Click on the word “Upload” and at the bottom of the page it will say “Insert Inline” and you’re done.

It’s not rocket science and as my son would say, “you’re not a rocket scientist.”

Thanks Louis and Brad.
Best luck HAWKEYE. We would love to meet up at a show or something. We also have a sizeable Trophy collection. Our favorite manufacturer for the late 90's early 2000's. Just resize the pics and at least you can post something for us to enjoy. Just wish we could help more - guess we all have to do some homework first:rolleyes2:^&grin.
Best Wishes all,
Pat & Paddy

If you have a computer, you can:
1) send any phone pics to your email.
2) open the image and resize (750Xwhatever is OK, you can play with it)
3) rename if wanted and select "insert image" when you post.
That's how we do it.

As I mentioned in my last post you do not need to email photos because the photos that you take are in your photo library.

Good advice but try that on an old Motorola Android...
Also, no need to use a hosting service yet, IMHO.
I still say an email (to yourself) of the picture you took with a camera or phone - or sheet film (jk) - is the easiest to resize if you are used to laptop work. The email's image is easily downloaded to an image in one of your files (photos probably, but look around if you lose it{eek3}). Then any laptop will let you play with the size without any apps, free or not.
Best of luck.
Then you (and Dad & I) have to figure out how to take a good pic! Advice there on google. Good luck again.
Anyway, don't feel too bad because we have loads of cool Trophy diorama ideas but the best we can do now is to take a bad old-phone pic in a dark room with a glare, bad focus, and maybe a thumb or two:redface2:.

What's important is that you have a beautiful collection that you can enjoy. We all hope to see some of it, but often Toy Soldiers are enjoyed most in the having and placing them how you want,

Still, that said, hosting services have advantages. They save Julie/the TF Forum money too,
See Forum How-to's. Jazzeum explains best.

Brad,
Your advice on uploading photographs worked like a charm. I used an i-phone to upload photos.

I was tidying up my man cave this morning, trying to put away what I thought were empty boxes, when one of the Trophy Boxes in the pile felt too heavy to be empty. To my surprise, when I opened it I found I had a second WWI German Ammunition Mule with the Handler wearing a pickelhaube:
