This figure is currently on eBay listed as British Casualty,Zulu War. It looks to me more like a Royal Welsh Fusilier from the Boxer Rebellion. Compare Trophy set BS22A of the RWF. This dealer has a lot of single Boxer Rebellion figures for auction. Anyone recognize it?

Randy,
I saw this figure also, and agree with yournassertion that it belongs to the BR range.. Definitely not Zulu War range. Of course you realize that some/most sellers are not as enlightened/learned in history as some of us. I saw one seller offering a Boer unit Post Office Rifles as a colonial unit in the AZW- Sinner

When your'e wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains
And the women come out to cut up what remains
Just roll on your rifle
And blow out your brains
And go to your God Like a soldier

The figure is part of AZW set FW1 “Fields of War” repainted to match the Royal Welsh Fusilier set from the Boxer rebellion as pointed out by Randy. The rifle by his side doesn’t look like a Martini - Henry more a flintlock or cap and ball

I am not sure if “Fields of War” sets were produced for other campaigns.

I think this could be a Len special or repainted by a previous owner

Cheers

Damian,
Nothing like waking up to a little Rudy! Thanks

Very interesting--a repaint?

I plan to take my Armies in Plastic Scots Guards and paint them up in the RWF colors which are quite different from the norm.

Martyn,
That's strange...My 24th dead was killed many miles away, and yet strangely has succumbed to the same pose as yours. Go figure! I finally got this set about a year ago, only after accumulating all the parts individually. It is a lot cheaper to find solo figures, but having a set with a box makes me feel all warm and cozy inside!

Not strange really, its his twin brother:p

Now does your figure have the common White helmet or is it the ultra rare tan version as seen here;)
