Being relatively new to the Toy Soldier collecting world I am always being surprised by different sets from many manufacturers. My main focus is ceremonial items made by W Britains. Today however I stumbled upon this Trophy set.

I didn't even know they had made ceremonial items.

A truly wonderful item but at a hefty price $1800 (although when broken down by piece they work out to about $34 a piece.

Hello Scott,

This quiet thread deserves a response.

The ceremonial set is absolutely magnificent.

I am surprised no one has posted any response.

You made quite an investment, but it must be the pride of your collection.

Best, Raymond:).

Did you bite off the whole thing? You are the man/toy soldier guy! Frontline makes ceremonial figures in gloss as well. But very nice find!

That is a lovely set.Craig McClain has had it on his website for about a year now. SO well done.

Over 100 figs. Boxes for figures.

I wonder if Scott would be interested in this one.

I am surprised no one has snapped up the Naval Brigade set he has for sale.

NB1 6 pc Navy. 5 w/rifles, 1 officer w/sword. One chipped rifle. Very early set.

Well spotted Raymond.;)

Looks like this set could be a winner for Christmas set collectors or Boer War, the newspaper one of the Officers is reading has "Boers defeated" as the headline.

Cheers

You are absolutely right about the newspaper headline "Boers defeated".

That was a very sharp observation, Martyn.

Must be your AZW experience paying off.

Did you look at the room partitions on the other side?

There appear to be farm animals:confused:. No way, it must be another set.

Best, Raymond:).

Glad you enjoyed that set and I wish I could say I owned it but I was just posting an example of it from the above posted site.

Martyn,
The base color on these ratings and Officer is brown, indicating Sudan, right?

Hi Mike

The base colour does indicate Sudan or Afghan but don't let that put you off. My set have green bases but a touch of paint and voila.

Cheers

Martyn:)
