I really love the "Belle epoque" french colonial period, but I didn't want to make the classical " Beau geste" dio with the blue-white french foreign legion in a fort in the desert. I wished to make a dio with all the " armée d' Afrique" and the " troupes coloniales" in Morocco with all their colorful clothes that they wore from the middle 19th century till 1962, when the colonial time ended. With modification and repaints of 5 brands included KC, I could make this dio.

Here is just one photo, the historical explainations and more photos in the " DIORAMAS" section. Trivia: where are the KC?{sm4}

Thank you,Guy.I have to do that because I often like historical situations not made by the manufacturers and also because it is cheap and fun to remodel and repaint Hachette or del prado items( I chose the best ones) ,and this time also 2 KC.Manufacturers do what they sell the best and the biggest part of collectors are from anglo-saxon culture and I often have not mainstream tastes.In my next and last big dio, I have created another little new line: the " alpini" retreating from Russia.I invented a good technique by remodelling some parts with wet igenic paper, then dried and painted..It becomes really solid! I didn't find on the internet any diorama about the french colonial army in northern Africa before ww1, apart from the classical blue-white french foreign legion....I wanted all the " armée d' Afrique" et " troupes coloniales" and now, I am the only one having it. {sm3}{sm4}

As remodelling,I did the arabs' white clothes and the Hachette( made by KC)soldier' s pants.

Thank you , Enrico, I m glad you like it.:salute:: Explainations and more photos on the diorama section if you like. Yes, I eat them, I digest them and I evacuate them totally different {sm3}{sm4}

One Kc figure is the FFL marching with his rifle slung on his back and the other maybe the french officer advancing in crouching position with pistol.

Looking forward to more of your dioramas.
Benjamin
