Harold Holzer, who has written several books on Lincoln (one of which won the Lincoln Prize) is selling most of his collection of Lincoln items that he’s amassed since he was a child.

Here’s an article on his collection, A Trove Of Lincoln Artifacts Heads to Auction

There are some amazing pieces in his collection. The auction is on September 27 and is being carried out by Swann Galleries in New York.

Here’s an article from Swann about the collection, https://www.swanngalleries.com/news/2018/09/the-harold-holzer-collection-of-lincolniana/

Here’s the catalogue, https://catalogue.swanngalleries.co...p?pg=1&sale_no=2486&st=D&viewby=lot_asc&ps=10

That auction has a lot of Lincoln stuff but lots of other Americana as well. Pretty wide reaching. -- Al

I always find it a bit sad when people sell prized collections due to age or financial reasons. Chris
