I doubt that we will see a departure from the Battle of the Little Bighorn anytime soon. They have found a niche era that has little competition from other manufacturers and IMO some of K&C figures are from this "last stand" series. Will we see different areas of the Wild West explored? Maybe, but I doubt it. It seems like their initial foray with 1850s Dragoons was not nearly as successful as the Little Bighorn series is.
Cheers,
Brendan

Andy should release some limited to the collector who have US dragoons loss figures. For example, release a mounted bugle
I have to sell my collection US dragoons incomplete? would be a shame.:redface2:

Brendan:

I totally agree. K&C in 2009 going with the 1850s U.S. Army 2nd Dragoons & Comanche Warriors instead of adding to their initial "TW" or "The West" series from 1998 was a big mistake. However, K&C in 2012 at long last finally started to add new Custer's Last Stand sets which are splendid!

For my taste, uniforms US dragoons are the most nice in the Indian Wars .

The mounties canadians are also very nice.{eek3}

Canadian Mounties will probably not happen, K&C did make Mounties years ago and got a cease and disist letter from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, evidentally everything to do with them is copyrighted. I heard about this from a pretty reliable source.

I guess I have been misinformed about this, my humble apologizes to all concern..................

It's another case of open mouth, insert foot, it's not the first time and probably won't be the last:)

Hi Guys, hi “Hatman”,

No apology necessary… humble or otherwise!
As for “open mouth, insert foot”… join the club – I’ve done it often enough!!!

Best wishes and happy collecting plus… a surprise or two in the coming year.

I think there are a lot of figures to reproduce in the LBH battle...Mark Kellogg the reporter could be a nice idea..and others..my countrymen John Martin (the bugler who brought the message to Benteen) and Lt. De Rudio...and Benteen, Reno..etc.

Hi Guys,

Just to clarify...K&C does indeed have extensive plans to extend “The Real West” both during and after “The Little Big Horn”...Alas, however they do not include a return to the Pre-Civil War “U.S. Dragoons” era...Like some others. I too enjoyed this particular and unusual period but not too many others did!?!

Sometimes in the toy soldier world that happens. I’m sure every company could tell you stories about what historical periods or subjects seemed are “sure-fire hit”...Only to be disappointed by the actual sales figures. Oh well, such is life!

Sorry to disappoint you “Spanish Soldier” but there it is.

Best wishes and happy collecting.

Andy
