Has the identity of TSSDs new sets been revealed? I thought I saw someone say ancients but I haven't found any other details. Does anyone know?

I suspect that poster I mentioned may have thought the Lod or new Exped Force ancients were Nick's. I don't think Nick will have ancients in mind anyway, given Greece is being well covered and he's already done his own Romans/Barbarians. I can't think of any other ancient range that would be feasible.

I talked to Deanna about the new sets. She obviously didn't tell me but said probably January they would announce it. I initially thought VietNam but not anymore with Stengal having done them now and TSSD being only one of the three dealers selling them.

I just read on the TSSD Website
that Nick and Deanna will announce
their new figure sets in about two weeks.

Sounds good. It's been a while for some decent plastics that are reasonably priced.

It looks like we're getting close to finding out what the new sets will be. I had hoped for WW2 German paratroopers with their iconic helmets and smocks but as a stand alone set, it doesn't match what Nick has said. (I'm sure that would be a seller though?) I've always been surprised that aside from a couple entries, WW1 hasn't really been done. Maybe 1917-18 Germans and Americans? It would allow French and British (and Empire) follow-up sets too. They'd be timely as well.

There really is a need for artillery generally. I opened my Italeri Pak 40 the other day and it is excellent! The crew are great too. A German 105 or 150 would be great to go with the CTS crew.

I know and so do a few other people but it's Nicks call. You won't be disappointed.

Agreed on both counts. The Great War figures done by TSSD would be a welcome addition to to my AIP which are awaiting paint, and if you liked the Italeri PaK 40 and crew, you'll love the Russian ZiS and crew. They're nicely "bundled up" against the cold and go well with TSSD's Russians and "Longcoat Germans".

I'm a definite TSSD "fanboy", but I stay within the WW I/ WWII range of plastics, so I'm hoping they're not Ancients/Alamo/AWI/ACW/Empire figures. Two weeks to go....

All well and good. But he needs to do Navy as well. (and I don't mean SEALS). Still, I'm excited for these. Just so the NVA/VC are smaller in stature than the Grunts

Not to be argumentative but finally someone does Viet Nam and you want more? Navy? That would mean I assume a Navy riverboat, how expensive would that be and how many would pay that price?
Gary

This is exciting and ambitious news. Helicopters, weapons and buildings? Along with figures? Sounds costly.

How about a set of "white mice" for the tu do st. cowboy fans,,,Or some Mac V types strolling to mama sans,,LOL,,
