I've just come across Vikings and I've been reading about Black Sails, a prequel of sorts to Treasure Island and they really appeal to me. I'm well into Game of Thrones and I'll get to Spartacus at some point but it got me thinking - what else could be made? No limits really but book based stuff is fine.

So for me, something Roman - 'Boudicca' seems a good idea. I haven't read them but the Flashman series covers some very interesting territory.

As for a movie - the novel Legend by David Gemmell, staring Brian Blessed would be great!

Flashman with minimal adjustments to the dialogue. That series is gold. Hilariously funny but you would need the right actor to play him.

Yes Wayne I did - it was pretty impressive! There were quite a few eye-popping scenes. I read that HBO regretted cancelling it. I'd have liked to see a few more battles on a bigger scale but really, it was as good as can be done.

A well done Flashman series would be outstanding. It would cover the whole history of the Victorian age and be like taking an around the world tour. -- Al

What about 'The legion' or 'Legionnaires' for a roman name?

Would love a series all about Market Garden including episodes about VII corp' involvement!

We need a good sci-fi show. I would prefer something that isn't as heavy and message oriented as many of the recent sci-fi movies/shows. Something more akin to the 1960s. There is an absolutely hilarious take off movie from those films called "The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra." A must see if you enjoyed those nutty, low budget films from the 50s and 60s.

Yeah, I loved Rome. That was almost as heartbreaking as Firefly getting cancelled.
