How widely available are some of the smaller 'matte finish' toy soldier companies in the UK? Do people mainly get them at shows when they are available, or are there stockists who keep in on hand and ready to ship?

Just curious. We sell quite a bit over there (possibly due to our weak dollar) and I don't know who else is in the market.

I'm thinking in terms of Honour Bound, Figarti, Patriot, Build-A-Rama, Frontline, etc.

I don't see much Figarti in the UK, I believe Ken (Maison Militaire) is the authorised dealer, but last time I checked, his website was quite out of date and difficult to navigate. Haven't found Build-A-Rama stockist, but I may be wrong.

Tom and Kevin Elliott now have HB covered, but when I saw Kevin at the show and started to argue about the price, he said he dealt with abuse only and that arguements were down the corridor :p.

Frontline had a fairly big stand at the last London Show, but I don't collect much of their stuff, so can't comment on accessability.

We will shortly be importing the Patriot range and hopefully Figarti in the future but are in the process of becoming a limited company and looking for office/storage space due to my house groaning under the weight of figures.
Approached HB but did not receive a reply and may approach Build - A – Rama in the future.

Mark,

That's good to know, especially as you're on the doorstep. :)

Cheers

There's not much in it when you take in to account shipping and customs charges.
A $190 tank + $35-$40 shipping + a reasonable chance of getting hit by a $50-60 / £25-30 customs charge, versus £130 at a UK show (+ maybe £10-£15 ?postage otherwise).
