I found an interesting book about the best toy makers of the UK. There is a small article about Len there. I have never known that Len had made "connoisseur" figures as well.

I was also told that Len attended at the meeting with Prince Charles (among other British toy makers) and presented Prince Charles with one of his figures...the prince liked it very much and put it in his pocket...the rest of the presented toys stayed on display... I wonder what was that figure  I hope Len can tell us ....

Ken Jackson has quite a large selection of Len's connoisseur figures in his private collection, as well as Trophy figures that Len painted in matt for him. I believe GICOP has recently seen some of them.

Al,
Thanks for posting this - very interesting to read. Looks like it was signed by Len as well - great find.
