Bill Pitt attended the London Toy Show in December 2000 and photographed the Marlborough Trade Stand. One of the photos shows this unknown group of soldiers - cant find them in the Marlborough catalogue. He thinks they may have been based on the soldiers of Sumptha Raja who attended the 1876 Agra Durbar. Does anyone have these?

Bill also photographed the Marlborough Rewa Elephant Carriage with its dozen passengers. This was catalogued as D137 priced at £634. One came up at C&T Auctions in 2020 - hammer price £800 plus fees.

Thanks for sharing that photo. The Rewah Carriage is one of my favorites!

Wow! Thank you for sharing! If only such sets were readily available at the London show now!!! I spotted a few rare sets in those photos such as the Kutch standard bearer on horseback and the Jaipur elephant standard bearer. Ps I noticed that the first photo shows mostly Durbar sets by Britains (such as the hunting cheetahs).
