Upcoming WW2 Germans/Russians & Crusaders from Xuan Hua Miniatures (They look nice!)

Facebook gave me a nice surprise today. Here's a flyer for upcoming Xuan Hua WW2 Germans/Russians and some Crusaders. There was also a separate announcement for December releases from Xuan Hua showing a running summer German, Russian Sniper, and the same Panzer commander just without the overcoat.

The winter Germans definitely have my attention. The winter MG-34 gunner and assistant gunner are must haves for me, even from this low-res scan of the flyer. It looks like that MG-34 is actually in-scale and shows its slender design (usually it gets thickened up too much in 1/30).

Not my main collecting area, but the Crusaders look pretty gritty and realistic to me. I'm liking that figure with the spear.

I really, really like my Xuan Hua Panzer commander in overcoat, so I'm excited to see what the future holds for this company.

I like the Crusader raising his sword and also a banner with him.

[FONT=&quot]It's nice to know that there's another option for the high level of figures I prefer that will blend in great with all my FIrst Legion figures. The Xuan Hua Panzer Commander in Overcoat goes great with the recent First Legion re-issue of the German Hauptmann in Russian Overcoat.

Xuan Hua is the only maker so far who has been able to hang with First Legion in zoomed in pictures. They're both painted to the same level.

I'm excited to see where they go with their lines, as I love what I am seeing in their Winter Germans.

Thanks for the heads up. Those winter Germans look really well posed and painted. I'll keep an eye out for them.

The first batch of Xuan Hua winter Germans are released. They look great to me. I love the MG-42 gunner and assistant gunner with ammo can.

First batch of crusaders is also released.

Thanks for the heads up. I ordered 2 of these figures from George. I really like the poses and I'm looking forward to examining the overall figure quality. They will be producing US soldiers at some point too as the heading exists on the Xuan Hua website.

I love these sculpts. I am not going to start collecting crusaders but they look amazing and would love to see some images of the crusader figures

Hi all,
My first two Xuan Hua figures arrived from George at Minutemen, and I thought I'd post a quick review along with some photos.

I must say I'm quite impressed by the quality of presentation and product, especially being these are some of the first releases from a new company. Yes, they are pricey, but as they says, you get what you pay for. Because of the cost XH figures are going to be compared to First Legion right out of the gate, so you have to admire the young company's competitive spirit to enter the quality realm that only FL occupies.

I think the sculptures are XH's strongest point with intensive attention to detail and pose originality. Everything flows nicely in terms of the implied movement of the figures and the way the fabrics lay and move in the wind. The gear and weapons are very well detailed and realistically scaled. The faces of the figures are very good as well and each looks like a different individual. The painting overall is excellent, and I would expect XH to improve in this dept just as FL has over the years to the masterful level they now achieve.

I've taken a few shots of the figures alongside FL, TG, WP and K & C. Most of my K & C figures are still packed away from moving a year ago, so I only had one K & C figure available for these comparison pictures. I would have liked to use a figure that was standing up straight for a better comparison from a scale standpoint. My WB figures are packed away too, but would go nicely with XH much like FL and WP IMO.

The photography is flash and meant to light up the figures well. But flash is not the most flattering means of photography for miniatures as it tends to wash out delicate gradient shifts in paint layering (for manufacturers who take the time to attempt layering).

I'm definitely liking what I see from Xuan Hua and look forward to adding more of their figures to my collection. They also have their first tank in the works (a Panzer III), and it appears to be a very complex model. If you're interested, George at Minutemen Toy Soldiers is the XH dealer.

Have been trying to get figures from this manufacturer for sometime , but no local dealer in fact none outside of US that I could determine.

As I have been dealing with Chris Tey from Toy Soldiers Galleria Singapore for my War park, he is now a dealer for Xuan Hua and lot less cost in postage than USA and he has provided me with my first 6 German WWII figures and looking at the Russians and Crusaders as well.

Quite impressed with sculpts and painting just the MG34 a little bent in travel
