If I remember correctly, it is Gen. Douglas MacArthur. In addition to his MoH, he served in WW1, WW2, and Korea. The man was a genuine hero who saw a LOT of action. -- Al

COL. Robert L. Howard

Audie Murphy was not the most highly decorated. He was the most highly decorated service member from WWII. COL Robert Howard is considered the most highly decorated service member ever if you consider number of awards for valor. General Douglas Macarthur is THE most highly decorated service member of all time for sheer number of awards, valor and meritorious. COL Robert Howard is the only person to be nominated three times for the Medal of Honor.

Incorrect- I was nominated 4 times but the actions were highly classified therefore you would have been unaware so I can forgive your ignorance. :tongue::tongue:

Just kidding

So far as I am aware it is Col Howard.

Alright- lets see if I can put together a competent question here- following the American War for Independence, when was the next war that saw the US army in racially integrated status- ie when was the next time African American troops were fighting alongside white troopers?

In the War of 1812, "Free Men of Color" enlisted in several militia units. One of which fought under Andrew Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans. They also served in large numbers in the Navy.

General MacArthur is correct. Also he and I believe his father were both MOH winners.{bravo}}

Correct but the answer I was looking for was the Korean War. My fault on the poor wording of the question.

This should be a good one for some of you guys out there:

Which US Army Division is the only Division authorized to wear their Division patch over the left breast pocket rather than traditionally worn over the sleeve? (BDU dress only- not Class A/B uniforms).

Bonus- why is it worn over the left breast pocket?

Hey Chris

Got my attention with this question! Answer is of course 2nd Armored Division, Hell On Wheels! We wore it in honor of Gen George S. Patton!
