Us there a free online catalog for Trophy of Wales? (1 Viewer)

If you need better or close up photos, please let me know. The Trophy catalogue also has a listing but not all are in color.
Never let it be said that people on this forum aren't helpful. Impressive, Jazzeum and others.
I have 2 good versions of the MKL catalogue (and 2 dog eared, written in, coffee stained ones). I'm not ready to sell but they are out there.
Btw I also have an old price guide (in yr 2000 pounds stirling, naturally). The old prices are fun to see. Under 70 quid for a box of 6. 30-40 per horseman. I can tell you the price then for any code in the catalogue, tell me if interested. Now, those prices, if only!
I think all of the civvy personality figs have been mentioned by the experts.
Still, alot look like other people! Len Taylor as a miner. West coaster figs. I think of Kitchener's cook from the Sudan kitchen as a personality. I bet many figs are based on real people past and present. Wonder what the Zulu witch doctor's name is...
Sam Houston? But he was military too. He looks peaceful on his horse, but that might be said of Wellington - and he was also a statesman and, no he's rarely, if ever, a civilian figure.
The guys being driven around in cars and elephants in India? Aren't they specific viceroys? I'm sure there are other, though rare examples that may or may not count by your standard.
Nice thread. Best wishes & stay safe

Hi Mike

No Greeks i'm afraid

French Algerian Tirailleurs (Turcos) for the Crimea (very limited edition) and Boxer Rebellion. The was also a very limited edition of WW1 French Colonial troops that I believe Louis has in his wonderful WW1 diorama

Probably the closest non military figure is Florence Nightingale

Cheers

Martyn

Here are the WW1 French Colonial Troops Martyn mentioned:

These photos are from the MKL catalogue, which is no longer available.

This is great. Pity that all these efforts have not coalesced into a book or online listing. Just a thought.
Thanks,
MikeNick
