WB25028 is a terrific set:

I really hope that Ken will continue to produce figures like the one above!

Interesting ...... ????

I thought that you weren't allowed to smoke near aircraft due to the close proximity of highly flammable fuel, let alone ammunition ??

Maybe that's only nowadays with Occupational Workplace Health & Safety hence the ground support crew not wearing Hi-Vis :) :)

John,

Fifty feet is the rule:

Hey, though, it's a depression-era pic.

Perhaps there's no fuel onboard the plane...or at the landing ground.

For that matter, it might just be a flat patch in the desert, perhaps miles from Riverside.;)

Was packing the subject figure up for shipment this morning and realized that his cigarette was missing.

When John mentioned that the fig shouldn't be standing next to a plane while smoking, it never occurred to me to check the pic and see if the set actually had a smoke in his hand.

Have no idea what became of the missing cigarette, but now the USAAF Pilot is safe around aircraft. ;)

Anyway, just thought that Obee would get a kick out of our oversight! :D

A really rugged looking scene, these guys look tough and ready for business. Robin.

What a picture! Top notch. Loving the plane and figures. Beautiful color and stunning photo, Moe!

Thank you for clearing that up. I thought it was just me but I could not find a smoke in the picture. When I was in high school I worked at a gas station pumping gas when everything was still full service. Always had a cigarette in my mouth when filling up cars with gas. It was the way things rolled back then.
