USPS Finally Good News (1 Viewer)

I posted a while back that I sold 9 Figarti Wake Island sets to a friend and fellow TF member. Well when he received them 6 of the 9 sets were completely destroyed. I did take out insurance, $475 for the total amount. He submitted the insurance claim and displayed the damaged sets to his post office, then filed a claim. A few weeks later claimed denied, no damage to outer box. He filed an appeal, again denied. I then wrote a letter to the finale appeal and he in turn filed for a final appeal. Well guess what folks it worked, he got a check the other day for the total amount. I want to pat both of us on the back for not giving up as I,m sure most people would have just thrown up there arms and surrendered to the process.
Finally in regards to USPS a happy ending.

Ya, what a mess, Gary and I went through proverbial hell on this one! Funny thing, my own post person indicated that she believes they paid because we were persistent, most of the time, people give up. Ironically, in the old days, you had to continually write appeal letters, whereas now, it is all filed online, kind of funny, they made it easier to pursue!
