Given the "NO PUSH" stenciled on the trailing edge of Navy birds, our readers might be curious as to how a plane could be moved if it was oriented in the wrong direction. The answer is relatively simple, in that the tail wheel was on a swivel and could rotate through a full 360 degrees. Blue Shirts would turn the plane, perhaps 180 degrees, by pushing on one side of the rear fuselage. Once the aircraft was re-oriented, they'd then move it into place by pushing on the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer, wings and landing gear.
