I just found out on the forum as I have been at work and then straight into the garden at home. It will never be the same without hearing his voice during the cricket. A GREAT LOSS TO AUSTRALIA. Chris.

Yes, he's been the voice of cricket forever it seems. Certainly for me, when the coloured clothes of One Day cricket in the very early 80s got me in as a teenager. I don't think he commentated at all this last year? In fact I don't think he did the previous 'Ashes' year either after his car crash? Anyway, the end of an era. With Greig also passed, Lawry only doing Melbourne specials, it leaves only Ian Chappell of the four horsemen of summer...
