I'm wondering what is out there that is 1/32 soft plastic in the way of tanks and other vehicles.

Obviously there are the Airfix 251, Mx IV, Sherman (?) and Brit truck. There is also the Tiger 2 and Sherman by BMC?? based on metal by ???? - can't remember right now!

I have an Atlantic Quad 20mm and I also think there were other things too??

What have I missed?

Airfix did a decent Daimler armored car, an Sdkfz 251/1, a Bedford truck, a so-so Sherman. BMC has a mediocre Sherman, a fair Tiger II, a decent LVT-2. Italeri has a PAK40 that's more 1/35th scale, also a Russian ZIS3 76mm.

Thank-you Binder - I'd forgotten about the Diamler. I think the highpoint of the Airfix vehicles was the 251/1. It works great with the BMC/New Ray (thanks blaster!) Tiger 2.

I know Airfix has had many changes in its structure but I'm surprised that somewhere they didn't do a US halftrack. CTS has a 1/40 hardplastic one but it's still crying out to be done properly in plastic. I wonder how much it would cost?

Along those lines I think someone should do a good PZ IV chassis, which could then mount the PZ IV itself, Hummel and Wirblewind for starters.

A Puma range would also be fantastic.....

Plus Marx and ??? have done motorcycles in about 1/32nd. I'm not sure who's is the nicest.

I don't think I've seen those? A motorcycle set - with side cars etc is another thing that I would love to see.

The BMC Sherman is the exact size of K/C's line of Shermans. I was told BMC made this from K/C molding..I bought one to repaint as a K/C wannabee...Michael

Hi Larso,
I have seen a plastic 1/35 or 1/32 US halftrack and I think that it was by NewRay.

Airfix also did a very nice Cromwell in soft plastic. Timpo did a Bren Carrier (the Dinky metal one is better).

There's a whole range of mostly plastic 1/32 vehicles from 21st Century and FOV. 21st is out of business but you can still find their stuff on ebay and at on-line retailers. FOV is still around

Don't forget 1/32 hard plastic armor kits.

There's Bravo Team at Target. They have an Abrams, a Bradley, a mobile Howitzer and a Stryker vehicle. Plus a P51 and a 109.
Atlantic made an ambulance and a Ketzenran (sp), the German halftrack cycle.

Marx made a motorcycle and side car but it was small. Most of Marx's stuff was not always to the same scale.

Larso,
Just discovered this thread when having a look around at what had already been covered within the Plastic topic.

Could I suggest that you inspect the plastic figure sets sold in 'Pound shops' or similar cheap product stores. I was surprised to find a reasonable 1.32ish scale Panzer II tank and BMW M/C Combo in a pack of these a couple of years ago, also in the pack was an EXACT copy in soft plastic of the Italeri Kit of a ruined building corner:)
