Nice work,

but a bit big for me, I like seeing all of the figures, right down to the boot :)

Hi Obee... have that covered... I have ordered a couple of full 200mm figures including a Napoleonic and a Roman Centurion... so I will post when finished... still trying to learn how to blend colour... its black magic... :)

cheers
Marc

Here is a newly completed 1/9th Verlinden Sapper from Foot Grenadiers of Dutch Royal Guard... :) enjoy

Really nice work with the colours, and the skin tone is believably life-like. The photography of course is first rate 😎. A touch more contrast with highlighting would make the hair texture on beard and bearskin leap out at you. The Verlinden range you've chosen is impressive. Thanks for featuring it so well Marc. Your work does it justice and is inspirational for those with a brush 😃

Verlinden made lot of bust in different scale and it's a bit confusing

1/5 1/4 1/3 1/9

even a 1/16 ( equivalent to a figure of 120mm )
this for example is a 1/16 I painted yeeeaaaars ago

WebbR-Napoleon-Buste-1.jpg

It's the only bust I ever painted
Even the most beautifully sculpted do'nt attract me, and certainly not the new tendancy to make " half figure" torso, arms .. only the legs are missing .

Here picture of a serie of busts painted by my friend Pierre who gave them to me because he was bored to see them on his shelves

Awful nice of him to do so. I see a few that I would like to have done. I will be posting a picture of Poniatowski I did recently.
