I've just received my 1st Honour Bound set (I'm mostly into K&C and Figarti) the damaged Panther one winter camo.. The tank itself is well detailed (I don't see the number and signature from the painter on it which treefrog is talking about in their website). However, when I opened the shoe like box, the figures were all loose... Only covered by some plastic bubble thin wrap BUT nothing was preventing the figures from hitting the tank or each other !!! So I was anxious trying to open the plastic stuff... And then I discovered that every figure had some paint chip and the axe/shovel of one of the mechanic was completely bent ! Very very discouraging.. I won't order any Honour Bound set if they keep that same packaging or do any mail order !

Cheers,

Alex

That is terrible. I was looking into some HB, but hearing this, not so much:(:(. I will not order any until this is resolved:mad:.

:(( I just discovered a half an inch chip on the rear of the tank ! Will take pictures right away.

Honour Bound stands behind all their products (as do their dealers) so contact your dealer and let them know the condition it arrived in.
If your package went through customs it could be it was opened for inspection and not put back in carefully (it happens more often than you'd think!). Customs once opened a shipment of Beau Geste elephants of ours, checked out an elephant which was heavily swathed in bubble wrap and not only didn't put the lid of the box back on and secure it, the lid didn't even make it back into the shipping carton at all and the elephant was loose in the packing peanuts with the bubble wrap just lying in the box .
As I said, Honour Bound stands behind all their products so contact your dealer and let them know and I'm sure you'll be sent a replacement.
Regards,

Hi Shannon,

Well I ordered it from Treefrog and from what I can see it was not opened by the custom department. The shoe box was still secured by 2 rubber bands and there was no stamps or any trace of somebody looking at the custom declaration.

Here are the pictures of the damages.

Cheers,

Alex

Here are first set of pictures

Paint chips on top of both hats and one on left boot

Here is set number 2 of pictures

Wrench is bent a little bit but the axe/shovel is completely bent. Also major chip on right boot and major big chip on rear of tank

:(

I don't believe posting on the Forum is the place to be posting your complaints about the product you received. I don't see the point. You should contact Treefrog directly. I suggest you contact Mandi or Shannon directly tomorrow.

I posted this somewhere before. They make some great tanks, but their early packing is the worst I've ever seen by a toy soldier manufacturer. I have six of their tanks and they all came in flimsy boxes that were falling apart when I unpacked them. I will say that as cheap as the boxes were, I didn't suffer any damage. I'm assuming the new custom line is much improved since I have yet to read a complaint about them.

All of this is entirely contrary to my experience. If anything it was too well packaged and the tank was actually screwed into the box. You could have run over it with a dump truck and not damaged it. Makes me wonder a bit.

I haven't any problems either and I have a lot of their product. The tanks are screwed to a board inside the box and accessories and figures are wrapped in bubble wrap and then put inside a small cardboard box which is placed inside the main box. The entire bundle is then plastic wrapped one more time to keep everything in place. Top this off with one more exterior box and additional packing from your distributor (ie Treefrog) and you have pretty good packaging.

Don't posts like these alert other forum members and manufactures of potential problems ? After all we spent a sizable amount of money for these toys. I have also seen similar posts about other manufacturers lines as well. Maybe we need a new category called "The complaint department" or "The heads up department" :)

That's a good idea. There's nothing wrong with discussing a legitimate complaint, as long as it doesn't violate any other forum rules, remains civil, etc.

Prost!

I'm reposting the pictures..

The figures were not in a smaller box in the big box.. they were then able to "swim" easily in the big box. Exterior packaging by treefrog was excellent and was in prestine condition when it arrived. No signs at all of customs opening my box. I have found a smaller flexible thin cardbox but it was opened and not secured by tape to prevent if from opening and was not attached to the interior part of the bigger box.

Here are the pictures of the damages (paint chips on top of the head & boots)

OK you got a bad set of troops..........Shannon said she stands behind what she sells, have you contacted her ? Perhaps we should ask for a new forum category - show me your damaged troop - kind of like old folks at the rest home comparing surgical scars.

Certainly unfortunate mate but I don't see the point of the pictures and all so long as the dealer and manufactuer want to make it right. I suspect most (or many) of us have gotten damaged items. It is fine to suggest improvements in packaging but as long as you get the matter resolved, there are more important things, as they say.

I'm sorry for the damages, Alex. As Shannon and other forum members said, we stand behind our products. In this case, I'm sure that the figures were boxed, so it must have been a customs problem.

We've had customs checked may of our pieces before, and there's always a percentage that is not correctly well re-packed, and arrives broken. In all cases customers claimed FedEx and they repaid the full set after inspection. The case that Shannon mentioned, the elephant got inspected and replaced into the packing box...without it's original box! :( We had one elephant shipped to Canada once, that got its belly drilled (obviously to see if there was something inside), and the box wasn't even labelled that it had gone through customs.

I'm sorry for the damages, Alex. Please, contact Shannon or Mandi and they will give you a solution.

Thanks,

Ana

How cool is that :) A personal apology straight from the manufacturer. That doesn't happen everyday!!!! What a great hobby :)

Hi Ana,

Thank you very much for your word of encouragment !

I have sent an email to Shannon to see what she can do. I suggest to tape the small cardbox all around and tape it to the inside of the big box so it won't be able to hit the tank.

Cheers,

Alex
