Well, not really (sorry) i just wannt to make attention because i am a new member of this site and i am also a new collector of Britain figures.
So,my name is Ales and i come from a very beautyfull country name Slovenia.Slovenia is very small european country next to Italy, with a blue adriatic sea,big mountains, alps, clean rivers, forests, old historical towns and castles, new modern towns,...Slovenia have only two million people of population, but we have our own language,culture,...I write you all that just because English is not my language so maybe i write wrong words that you all will have trouble of understand me,but i will try to write good english language.
So,the reason i write is that when i was leaving London i visit a shop name past times at the airport and i buy everything i saw of Britain figures. This figures is very beautyfull and i like them very much.So i go to the internet and i read a lot about this on the internet. In ym country nobody know about this metal figures and it is not popular so if i wannt to hang out "with my own kind" i register in that forum.
But i have a problem.Among other figures i buy also a HenryVIII and his six wives-hand painted collectible Metal Figures. They are very nice figures but it is not what i will be collect at the future. So,i will like to sell this 7 figures or trade for something else. They are new with the mint box with theBritain Collectors Club application form, and a little small brouchoure about the HenryVIII and his wives profiles.I didnt even play with this figures or take them out of the box and put them on the desk,so they are all un-touch.I am interested in other figures that are combat figures or something like that.So what can i do?The best thing will be for me to sale them and than buy some other figures i find over the internet because in my country there is no shop for metal figures.Or maybe there is some other figures like this Henry of VIII so that i can buy and than have a set or something. Is this possible? Because only this 7 figures are boring set so it is not something i am looking forward. Is there any other figures that can go with this little set?I mean what is the purpose of making that figures if they are not attractive for set.Like Zuluwar,Or Napoleonic set,...at least this figures can be "upgraded" and you can make a war with them or make a set of your own, like a battle with waterloo,or last standing of some historical person,....what you do with the figures like Henry of VIII?
I am really interested in hearing your opinions?
My other figures i buy in that store are more of the Ceremonial figures,so it is much more interesting but still not quite because there is no fight figures. So give me some ideas what can i do with that kind of figures? What you do? Do you buy them?Or everybody buy just war figures?

Hi,
Welcome to the Forum from another European. About Slovenia, I have also heard that Slovenian girls are the prettiest:p.... Enjoy them ( if you can...):D.
On fighting or ceremonial you are the one who will have to find out what you like best ( or both:D ). Take sometime browsing around, this forum is a great resource and Treefrog's site has some nice links for toy soldier resources and some great photos. You'll find that Britains is excellent but also that there are other great manufacturers out there, and you'll get into real trouble:D.
My favorite Britains series is French and Indian War, in gloss, from the classic collection, I am just crazy about it and expect both fighting and static poses for that series.
Here are two other links for toy soldier resources, shops and manufacturers that might keep you busy for sometime:D:

E-bay is also a way of getting toy soldiers, take a look.
Hit the net and have fun ( and don't get broke...)

Hi Ales,

Welcome to the forum. I am pleased to see another Britains fan come on board. I collect several series from them but my main focus has been the Cerimonial series called the Delhi Durbar. See the thread here for pictures of mine and many other folks collections. I also collect the Napoleonics and many other ranges so I think you should go ahead and collect all the series you like and can afford. There are many great sets coming down the road and you should find a lot that will be of interest to you.

As for Henry and his wives you should explore the option of selling them on ebay if possible however we have an area here on the forum called collectors classified where you can post them for sale or trade.

All the best

Dave
